Many of you have asked what happened to the old monthly listing of toy and antique sewing machines. Well, I ran into problems. My efforts to find a fair way of giving everyone a chance of buying the rarer models got me into a lot of trouble with those folk who were not lucky enough to buy the rarer machines -- many models had 20 or more potential buyers. I initially decided to go the ebay route and auction the better machines as well as topping up this site on an irregular basis -- keep checking back
Then
the requests started flooding in for a bigsale before Christmas -- and
here it is. I've tried to present a varied selection of machines from
around the world, at a variety of prices and in time to ensure that they
reach their destination in time for the festive season
Some I've liberated from my own collection, others are sold "as is",
in need of cleaning but here it's possible to. pick up a real bargain
The machines have been divided up by nationality plus a catch-all "Other"
category and a section for domestic machines. Don't regard the nationality
categories as necessarily correct -- many are located where I think that
many of the new collectors might search for them
Same rules apply. Although this page is available for preview, no requests to buy can be entertained before 10 pm Eastern time on Sunday, November 25, 2001. Mail received before that time cannot be processed.
Just about everything sold -- sorry.
